Jerika Marie Caduhada

Associate

Jerika (she/her/hers) is building a practice in all areas of labour, employment, human rights, professional regulatory, and administrative law. Before joining Moore Edgar Lyster LLP as an associate, Jerika was first a summer student and then an articling student with the firm.

Jerika has long been committed to advancing workers’ rights and holds a special interest in the intersection of workers' rights and migrant justice. While in law school, she co-organized migrant rights' rallies, planned events increasing migrant workers’ access to community services, and led a research project on migrant rights to information.  Jerika also participated in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot, an appellate moot combining legal doctrine with critical race theory, and completed a clinical term at the Law Centre, providing advice and representation to low-income individuals in the areas of tenancy, employment, human rights and criminal law. Upon graduation, Jerika was recognized for her outstanding performance in legal skills and advocacy.

While finishing her law degree, Jerika worked as an executive coordinator for the Federation of Asian Canaian Lawyers, supporting their mandate of advancing justice, equity and opportunity in the legal community. She also worked as a program facilitator, delivering mental health workshops to schools across the Greater Victoria region.

Jerika is fluent in Ilonggo (Hiligaynon), conversational in Spanish, and understands Tagalog. Outside of work, Jerika loves to read, make art, and indulge in desserts.
