Sara (she/her/hers) practices in all areas of labour, employment and human rights law.
Sara is a clear-eyed advocate who offers her clients thorough, straightforward legal advice. Sara has a particular interest in assisting survivors of workplace sexual harassment, and devotes a significant part of her practice to representing clients with complaints involving sexual harassment and sexual assault before the BC Human Rights Tribunal. In all cases, regardless of the legal issue, Sara works hard to advance her clients’ claims with thoughtfulness and efficiency.
Prior to joining Moore Edgar Lyster LLP, Sara clerked for two justices at the Federal Court of Canada where she cultivated her interest in administrative law, and particularly the complexities of judicial review. In keeping with this interest, Sara has served on the executive of the CBA BC’s Administrative Law Section since 2016 as a member-at-large, legislative liaison, and most recently, as treasurer.
Sara believes legal services should be accessible to all who need them. Since 2016, she has been a dedicated volunteer with Access Pro Bono’s summary advice program, providing women in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside with advice on human rights and employment law matters. In 2018 and 2019, Access Pro Bono recognized Sara as one of the top ten volunteers for the summary advice program.
In her spare time, Sara can be found training for half marathons, practicing yoga, and trying to encourage other Vancouverites to actually dance at indie rock shows.
