ASSOCIATE
Chris (he/him/his) is building a practice in all areas of labour, employment, human rights, professional regulatory and administrative law. Chris first joined Moore Edgar Lyster LLP as a summer student after his second year of law school and returned to the firm for his articles.
Chris developed a passion for workers’ rights through his involvement in the labour movement. At a previous workplace, Chris was part of a core team of staff that led a successful organizing drive with a large national union. This experience motivated Chris to attend law school and pursue a career in workplace justice.
While in law school, Chris explored his passion for labour law and the labour movement as co-president of the UVic Labour Law Club. He also volunteered as a Program Facilitator at Our Work Place, where he created and led community workshops on workers’ rights. During his final year, Chris was awarded the Professor Jim Ellis Memorial Prize for demonstrating excellence in the Advanced Taxation course.
Before law school, Chris studied music performance at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. He has performed in a variety of musical settings across Canada, the United States, and Korea.
In his free time, Chris loves listening to music and spending time outdoors. Chris is an avid rock climber and has been fortunate to climb in many beautiful places around the world.
