Jed Weiss
SUMMER Student
Jed (he/him/his) is a summer student at Moore Edgar Lyster LLP and is completing his JD at the University of Victoria.
Jed has been involved in grassroots and labour movement organizing for the better part of a decade and is thrilled to bring this experience to the legal world. Prior to law school, he worked as a union organizer with several different unions. He also spent time organizing in municipal politics and for environmental justice with the Wilderness Committee.
At law school, he serves as the Co-President of the UVic Labour Law Club. He also works on a radio show focused on interviewing local organizers and activists (“Crescendo” on CFUV 101.9).
Outside of work, Jed can be found playing guitar and singing in the band Cheap Flavor. He also stays involved in community organizing and acts in indie films from time to time.
