Emily (she/her/hers) is building a practice in labour, employment, human rights, and administrative law. For her articles, Emily completed a judicial clerkship with the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Windsor.

While in law school, Emily assisted faculty members with research ranging from race-based criminal law theory, to protest law and injunctions, to Palestinian solidarity legal movements. Emily participated in the Kawaskimhon National Aboriginal Law moot, worked as an extern with the Canadian Centre for Housing Rights, and completed a judicial internship with the Ontario Court of Justice.

Emily believes labour rights are the foundation for all social justice and strong worker solidarity is essential to a progressive and inclusive society. She is passionate about legal and social equality for our marginalized and diverse neighbours, and believes in creating safer and healthier communities for all. During law school, Emily co-founded the Harm Reduction Project, building trauma-informed capacity through harm reduction principles and practices, raising awareness for the decriminalization of sex work and drug use, and advocating for community-driven policy solutions for the housing, drug poisoning, and cost of living crises. Emily also founded the OWLS (the Old and Wise Law Students), was a member of the admissions and the academic planning committees, and participated in Pro-Bono Students Canada. Emily was the valedictorian for the Windsor Law Class of 2025.

Prior to law school, Emily worked at the WISH Drop-In Centre Society and Harbour Light Detox in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver. She also held international development positions with the United Nations, the Peace Corps, and the World University Service of Canada. When not working, Emily can be found hiking very slowly up mountains, overconsuming novels, and spending time with her Jamaican rescue cat, Mo, and her human nieces.
