Scott (he/him/his) practices in all areas of labour, employment, human rights, regulatory and administrative law. He articled with us at Moore Edgar Lyster LLP, and joined us as an associate when he was called to the bar.

Prior to his academic career, Scott spent many years working in a variety of trades. He has experience as a landscaper, painter, framer and cabinetmaker. These experiences instilled a strong appreciation for the trade union movement and shaped his desire to fight for the rights of workers.

While in law school, Scott gained practical legal experience by volunteering through the Pro Bono Students Canada program at the Society for Children and Youth of BC. He also spent a clinical term as a temporary articled student at Rise Women’s Legal Centre, supporting self-identified women in their family and immigration matters. During his time at law school Scott was the recipient of numerous awards, including the Sangra Memorial Entrance Scholarship and the 2021 Law Society Gold Medal and Prize.

Scott was involved in his school community through his participation in Allard’s Peer Tutor program, where he provided guidance and advice to first-year law students. He remains strongly committed to the value of mentorship and hopes to continue with this commitment in his legal career.

In his spare time, Scott can be found on the various patios around the Lower Mainland enjoying all the great food and drink that BC has to offer. When he’s not enjoying a good meal, Scott will undoubtedly be attempting to wrangle his two unruly dogs and/or experiencing the great outdoors.
