Sana Fatima
Associate
Sana (she/her/hers) is building a practice in labour, employment, human rights, and administrative law.
Before joining Moore Edgar Lyster LLP, Sana worked as a litigation associate at a full-service law firm in Victoria. She completed her articles at a national employment law firm. Prior to articling, Sana completed co-op work terms at the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada and the BC General Employees’ Union.
Sana is passionate about workers’ rights and minority rights. During law school, she dedicated her time to researching offshoring practices and labour union structures in Canada and Bangladesh. For her research, Sana was awarded the Stacey Reginald Ball Prize for excellence in employment law research. Sana also volunteered with the South Asian Legal Clinic of British Columbia to provide legal education to recent immigrants to Canada. Throughout law school, she served on the executive of the Pan-Asian Law Society and the South Asian Law Students’ Association.
Outside of work, Sana enjoys travel, books, art, and film.
