Lindsay A. Waddell
Lindsay (she/her/hers) is a partner at Moore Edgar Lyster LLP where she practices human rights, labour, employment, administrative and professional regulatory law.
Lindsay acts for individuals, public and private sector unions and professional regulators on a wide variety of matters. She is a tenacious and strategic advocate and believes strongly in using the law as a tool to effect social change.
Lindsay has extensive experience and particular interest in assisting clients with complex human rights issues as they affect workplaces, government services and the school system. Lindsay is an experienced litigator who has appeared as counsel at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and in front of all manner of administrative tribunals.
Lindsay is a respected leader in her field, who is frequently asked to speak, teach and present to a variety of audiences on a range of subjects including human rights, labour law, advocacy and ethical issues. She has volunteered extensively in the non-profit sector including as a Board Member of West Coast LEAF and Family Services of Greater Vancouver.
Lindsay is currently the Treasurer of the Human Rights Section of the CBA BC and sits on a BC Human Rights Tribunal working group, assisting the Tribunal to strengthen its rules and processes for representative complaints.
As a leading member of the bar, Lindsay enjoys mentoring as many young lawyers as her time permits. Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking and downhill skiing, usually in pursuit of her partner and their three young children.
